Key Online Resources on the Ebola Response

Dear colleagues,

Since the Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in West Africa was first detected in March 2014 in Guinea, OCHA has provided strategic guidance and support in the areas of coordination, resource mobilization, policy and information management. With the establishment of the UN Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) and the strengthening of the UN’s overall response to the outbreak, OCHA continues to provide support, including with staff deployments.

With regard to information management and public communication, OCHA has produced a range of products including maps and bulletins. HumanitarianResponse.Info and the Humanitarian Kiosk have enabled the sharing of documents and operational information, and public data is available through the humanitarian data exchange (HDX).
