New State Equity Figures Announced
Soto Minerals
At Soto, we want to work in a happy environment, where are operations are welcomed by the local and provide lasting benefits to our hosts. We began work in Grande Cerro in May 2008 and have strived from the beginning to ensure a harmonious and mutually enhancing relationship. All our employess on the ground are local and we ensure that our supply chain is as indigenous as possible.
We rigorously follow the nation's tax regime, and dilligently pay our share to the countries balance; as guests in this country we truly want to see it prosper, and we recognize that we - and other foreign companies - can be a meaningful part of that. But alongside our national contribution, we want to guarantee that the people closest to our operations are not negatively affected by any of our activity, but on the contrary, are enhanced by the experience.
As well as employing locally, we actively involve ourselves with the surrounding region in a diverse manner, through dialogue, sponsorship and donation. Above all, we want our community activity to have lasting impact, and not recede once the mine has closed. All our CSR activity is built to last.
